DAY 1 WEDNESDAY CAPE TOWN - OUDTSHOORN:
(Depart on the Northbound Tropicana tour). Travel scenic route from Cape Town to Montagu, then on to Oudtshoorn, ostrich capital of the world. Overnight in Oudtshoorn.

DAY 2 THURSDAY OUDTSHOORN - GARDEN ROUTE:
Explore the Cango Caves and visit the Ostrich farm for a guided tour and lunch. Overnight in Knysna.

DAY 3 FRIDAY GARDEN ROUTE:
Travel the scenic route to Sedgefield, in the heart of the Garden Route, aboard the Outeniqua Choo – Tjoe. Visit Featherbed Nature Reserve in Knysna. Overnight in Knysna.

DAY 4 SATURDAY GARDEN ROUTE - PORT ELIZABETH:
Travel via Tsitsikamma Forest to Port Elizabeth. Lunch en route (included) Transfer to hotel. Rest of your day at leisure. Overnight in Port Elizabeth

DAY 5 SUNDAY PORT ELIZABETH - DURBAN:
Transfer to airport for Durban flight. Passengers who make their own flight arrangements, are reminded to contact our central reservations for updated flight schedules. Overnight in Durban.

DAY 6 MONDAY DURBAN:
Day at leisure. (Unescorted). Explore the city of Durban or enjoy a Springbok Atlas Day Tour (optional & for own account).

DAY 7 TUESDAY DURBAN - ZULULAND:
Travel to Zululand and traditional Zulu village for display and lunch. Travel to Hluhluwe region for game drive and overnight. NB: Overnight for certain departures may be in Itala Nature Reserve.

DAY 8 WEDNESDAY ZULULAND - SWAZILAND:
Travel to Kingdom of Swaziland, visit craft markets and a Swazi candle factory. Overnight Swaziland.

DAY 9 THURSDAY SWAZILAND - MALELANE:
Visit Ngwenya glass factory. Travel to the Kruger National Park. Afternoon at leisure. Enjoy a game drive (optional & for own account). Overnight in lodge.

DAY 10 FRIDAY MALELANE - KRUGER NATIONAL PARK - MALELANE:
Early morning coffee or tea. Depart on open vehicle game drive through Kruger National Park with pre-packed breakfast. Return to hotel for afternoon at leisure. Late afternoon or night open-vehicle game drives available (optional and for own account).

DAY 11 SATURDAY MPUMALANGA:
Depart for Panorama Scenic Route, Blyde River Canyon. Overnight in Hazyview.

 

SABI SABI OPTION  You may decide to take the Sabi Sabi Luxury Option for Day 3 and 4.   Safaris at Sabi Sabi are a UNIQUE African experience. Guided by your knowledgeable and experienced ranger and skilled Shangaan tracker, (FGASA accredited), guests begin an adventure to spot a myriad of wild animals including, but not limited to, the big 5, leopard, lion, rhino, elephant and buffalo. The graceful impala, dazzling zebra and other unique African game will be encountered. Day 10 SABI SABI OPTION: MALELANE - SABI SABI 10h30: Meet Sabi Rangers. Transfer to lodge for lunch and afternoon game drive. Overnight Sabi Sabi on a full board basis. Day 11  SABI SABI OPTION: SABI SABI - KRUGER NATIONAL PARK - MPUMALANGA 06h00 Early morning game drive. Breakfast before rejoining main tour. Afternoon at leisure. Continue on itinerary.

DAY 12 SUNDAY JOHANNESBURG:
Travel to Johannesburg where your tour ends on arrival. Passengers may be dropped off, on request, at Johannesburg International Airport once tour has terminated. IMPORTANT : VALID PASSPORTS ARE REQUIRED as the South African Highlights Tour (SCJ-12) passes through Swaziland. Certain passport holders require visas. Please check this with your travel agent before your departure. The onus is on passengers to ensure that all their documents are in order.
