In Search of Dracula 
 
 
Day 1

BUCHAREST - SINAIA (120 km)
Arrival at Bucharest airport in the afternoon. Transfer by car/van/minibus/ coach to Sinaia in the mountains. Dinner and accommodation - Hotel International**** or similar.		  
 
Day 2

SINAIA - BRAN - BRASOV - SIGHISOARA (198 km)
Visit the Sinaia Monastery (1695) and the fabulous Peles Castle - summer residence of the Royal family. Drive to Bran and visit "Dracula's" Castle (1377) (photo). Continue to Brasov (formerly Kronstadt, founded by the Saxon colonists) - guided walking tour in the historical center including the Black Church. In the afternoon drive to Sighisoara - birthplace of Vlad the Impaler ("Dracula").
Dinner and accommodation - Hotel Sighisoara*** or similar.
Day 3

SIGHISOARA - BORGO PASS (170 km)
Visit the medieval citadel (the "Upper Town") of Sighisoara: the Clock Tower (photo), the Evangelical Church etc. Drive across Transylvania via Targu Mures and Bistrita (walk through the medieval town center) to the Borgo Pass in the Carpathian mountains (elevation 1,200 m = 3,930 ft.).
Dinner and accommodation at the "Dracula Castle" Hotel***.		  
 
Day 4

BORGO PASS - POIANA BRASOV (298 km)
In the morning walk in the spectacular scenery around the hotel, then drive southwards to Poiana Brasov (mountain resort, 13 km from Brasov (photo)).
Dinner in a typical restaurant in the resort (the Dacians' Shed or similar).
Accommodation in a 3-star hotel.
Day 5

POIANA BRASOV - BUCHAREST Airport (170 km)
Drive across the mountains to Bucharest airport. End of our services.		  
Note 1: Museums are closed on Mondays. The Peles Castle is also closed on Tuesdays.
Note 2: This tour can be extended by additional days in Bucharest or Transylvania.

The above price includes: • Accommodation 4 nights as per the program;
• Half board (breakfast and dinner) as specified in the program;
• Private car (for 2-3 pax) or air-conditioned van / minibus / coach for all the above itinerary and program;
• English speaking guide throughout (for parties of 2-6 pax the guide will also drive);
