Mahabalipuram, Tanjore, Madurai, Periyar, Kumarakom,
Cochin and back to Chennai. Travel in air-conditioned

Day
1 Tue. Chennai
Arrive and transfer to your hotel (immediate check-in).
Overnight : Hotel Radha Park Inn.
Day
2 Wed. Chennai
AM : At leisure
PM : City tour.
Overnight: Radha Park Inn.
Day 3 Thurs. Chennai
Morning tour of
Mahabalipuram with an optional extension to Dakshina
Chitra on return journey.
Overnight: Radha Park Inn.
Day 4 Fri. Chennai - Tanjore
7:30 am :Drive to Tanjore via Swamimalai (6 hrs). 1330
hrs arrive Swamimalai.
After lunch at Sterling Swamimalai Hotel, visit
Iconography workshop.
PM : Proceed to Tanjore (2 hrs) visiting Darasuram
enroute.
Arrive Tanjore and if time permits, visit Veena makers
lane. Check in at the hotel.
Overnight : Sangam.
Day 5 Sat. Tanjore-Madurai
Morning sightseeing of Tanjore. Proceed towards
Karaikudy (2 hrs). Visit Chettinad Palace. Lunch at 'The
Bungli', proceed to Madurai (2½ hrs). Arrive and check
in at your hotel. Visit Meenakshi Temple for the evening
aarti.
Overnight : Madura Park Inn.
Day 6 Sun. Madurai-Periyar
Morning city tour. Depart for Periyar. (3½ hrs). Arrive
and check in at hotel.
PM : Enjoy a cooking demonstration or nature
presentation arranged at hotel.
Overnight : Spice Village.
Day
7 Mon. Kumarakom
Early morning boat ride on Lake Periyar to view the
local flora and fauna. PM : Transfer to Kumarakom (3 ½
hrs.)
Arrive and transfer to hotel.
Overnight : Coconut Lagoon.
Day
8 Tue. Kumarakom
At leisure to experience some Ayurvedic massages/cures.
Enjoy a sunset cruise this evening, or a cooking
demonstration.
Overnight: Coconut Lagoon.
Day
9 Wed. Kumarakom-Cochin
AM: Board the boat for a backwater cruise to Alleppey,
catch a glimpse of village life. Drive to Cochin. (1 ½
hrs). Arrive Cochin and transfer to the hotel. PM : City
tour.
 Optional:
Kathakali Dance
show including viewing the process of artists doing
their makeup.
Overnight : Casino.
Day
10 Thu. Cochin
Transfer to Cochin airport or take a Marari or Mysore
Extension.
