Pick up passengers from various major Bangkok
hotels and transfer to Bangkok domestic airport.

Depart Bangkok by TG-100.

Arrive Chiang Mai Airport. Drive to Chiang Rai
and lunch at a local restaurant. Continue to
Chiang Saen, the former capital of the first
Thai Kingdom, situated directly on the Mekong
River at the border between Thailand and Laos.
Visit Wat Phra Dhat Jom Kitti by climbing up 383
steps to the top of the hill. Also visit Wat
Chedi Luang and the small museum near by.
Continue by longtailed speedboat upriver on the
Mekong towards the Golden Triangle where the
borders of Thailand, Myanmar and Laos convene.
Check-in at IMPERIAL GOLDEN TRIANGLE RESORT.
Dinner and accommodation.

Day 02
Chiang Saen-Doi Mae Salong-Mae Sai-Chiang

Depart from Chiang Saen to visit the Lisu
Village at Baan Mae Kaotom and continue uphill
via Mae Chan to visit a Yao and a Akha Hilltribe
Village. Proceed to Doi Mae Salong passing
through beautiful mountain scenery. The view
from the top takes in a large part of Thailand,
Myanmar and the Mekhong Valley which makes this
trip very worthwhile. Lunch at Mae Salong Villa
in Doi Mae Salong. Depart Doi Mae Salong to Mae
Sai, the northernmost Thai town on the Myanmar
border. Walk around the local market with
opportunity for shopping. Before returning to
Chiang Rai, short stop at the fish cave.
Check-in at WIANG INN HOTEL. Dinner and
accommodation.
Thursday

Day 03 - Chiang
Rai-Thatorn-Hmong Hilltribe Lodge (B/L/D)

Leave the hotel for the boat landing. Board on
the simple longtailed motor boats for a
five-hour journey up the Kok River, passing tiny
hilltribe villages, bamboo huts and jungle
scenery. The first stop is made at a cave
housing many sacred statues of Lord Buddha.
Further upriver, visit to a Lahu hilltribe
village. The last stop before arriving at
Thatorn is made at the village of Mae Salah, a
river check-point. Lunch at Mae Kok River Lodge.
Proceed by bus to Mae Rim via Fang and Chiang
Dao. Continue by pick-up truck to HMONG
HILLTRIBE LODGE, for B.B.Q. dinner followed by
presentation of Meo dances and overnight.

Day 04 - Hmong

to visit the elephant camp to watch the
elephants taking timber in the forest. Their
strength and clever teamwork will amaze you.

Day 05 -
Chiang Mai-Bangkok (B/L)

City Tour. Visit the most interesting
temples in Chiang Mai such as Wat Phra Singh
with its famous Buddha image, Wat Chiang Man,
the oldest temple in Chiang Mai built by King
Mangrai, and Wat Suan Dok which houses the
remains of many generations of the old Chiang
Mai Royal Family. Also visit Wat Doi Suthep,
tucked away in the mountains at 1,056 metres
above sea level. Lunch at a local restaurant.

Transfer to Chiang Mai Airport.

Depart Chiang Mai by TG-113.

Arrive Bangkok and transfer to your Bangkok
