Day
1 Kuching - City Tour
Arrive Kuching in the morning. Meet and
transfer to hotel.
City tour in the afternoon which covers Kuching
South City Hall, the amazing Cat Monument, the
oldest Chinese Temple, viewing Fort Mahgerita,
the former Rajah Brooke’s palace (Istana), a
panoramic view of Kuching city from the city
tower, a visit to the world renowned Sarawak
Museum, the local market and the fascinating
walk along the famous Kuching Waterfront.

Day 2 Bako National Park
A scenic drive this morning brings us to
Bako village where an exciting boat ride takes
us to marvel at the abundant natural beauty of
Sarawak’s most popular National Park. Trek
along the trails to see the proboscis monkeys
and other wildlife, the pitcher plants and the
amazing array of plants and flowers. You may end
your trekking at a beautiful secluded swimming
beach. We return in the afternoon to Kuching and
overnight at Harbour View. (BL)
Day 3 Kuching - Skrang River and Longhouse
This morning, travel overland passing scenic
greenery of rainforest and fields of pepper and
rubber. Stop at Serian town to visit an
excellent farmer’s market. Continue driving to
the Skrang river where a delightful longboat
ride brings you a traditional Iban longhouse. We
will have time for the orientation tour of the
longhouse. This trip highlights the most
impressive traditional ceremonial dinner in the
longhouse with the headman followed by a
graceful ceremonial dances to welcome you for
the most unforgettable evening. Accommodation at
private guesthouse equipped with western-style
bathroom and bedding facilities. (BLD)
Day 4 Longhouse - Kuching
After breakfast you will be taken to see
blow pipe demonstration. Then proceed for a trek
through the picturesque forest . We end the trek
at the river beach where we have our tribal back
wood style picnic lunch. Return to Kuching and
overnight at Harbour View. (BL)
Day 5 Kuching - Mulu
Depart Kuching in the morning on an hour
flight to Miri to connect flight to Mulu. Meet
and transfer to Royal Mulu Resort. In the
afternoon we trek to explore the world’s
largest cave passage, the Deer Cave and the
interesting Lang’s Cave and later watch the
amazing sight of millions of bats spiralling in
dark streams out of the caves in the evening.

Day 6 Mulu
This morning we ride up the Melinau River by
longboat to the elegant Wind Cave to marvel at
the spectacular stalactites and stalagmites and
other rock formations. Here we see flow rocks,
heltites and rock corals, some of which are
illuminated in the “King’s Room”. Later we
continue to walk on raised plankwalk to admire
the wonderful sight of the Clearwater Cave. On
the return journey, stop at the semi-nomadic
Penan settlement. Overnight at Royal Mulu

Day 7 Mulu – Kota Kinabalu
Transfer to airport for departure flight to
Kota Kinabalu. Meet on arrival and transfer to
hotel for check in. Free at own leisure.

Day 8 Kinabalu Park - Poring
Drive 2 hours overland (88 km) through padi-fields
and Dusun villages over the ridges of the
Crocker Range to the foothills of Mt. Kinabalu
at 5,000ft, to arrive at the park headquarters
at Kundasang. Visit the Visitor Centre and
Mountain Garden; home to some of the 24 species
of flowering rhododendrons, 10 species of
carnivorous pitcher plants, estimated 1,400
species of orchids, over 600 species of ferns,
more than 40 species of oak trees and over 300
species of birds.
Continue 40 km journey to Poring. Explore
tropical rainforest among the jungle trail
leading to the treetop canopy walkways suspended
41 meters above the forest floor before
returning to sea level. Overnight at Hotel

Day 9 Kota Kinabalu - Sandakan - Sepilok -
Sukau
Transfer to airport for early flight MH2042
etd0700hrs to Sandakan. On arrival at Sandakan
airport at 0740hrs, transfer to Sepilok
Rehabilitation Centre. Trek ten minutes through
the rainforest on wooden plankwalks to witness
the feeding of the orang utans at 10.00am.
Continue to Sandakan jetty for an estimated 2
hours boat journey to Sukau Rainforest Lodge
along Sabah's longest river, Kinabatangan with
opportunity to view birds and wildlifes in
virgin mangrove, wetland and rainforest
habitats. Late afternoon take a two hours river
cruise using electric motor in search of some of
the 10 primate species including Proboscis
monkeys as they settle down on treetops along
the Kinabatangan River. Return for solar heated
hot shower, candle light dinner and slide show
conducted by naturalist guide. Overnight at
Sukau Rainforest Lodge. (BLD)
Day 10 Sukau
Wake up to the calls of gibbons and
hornbills. A 6.00 am morning river cruise up the
Kinabatangan River to view more birds and
wildlifes. Proceed to the Kelenanap ox-bow lake
for a short jungle walk (if weather permits).
Experience the wilderness of Borneo. You have
the option to participate in our conservation
project by planting trees at our 64 acres
adopted land. In the afternoon, we proceed for
another river cruise for more wildlifes. After
dinner an optional night safari cruise spotting
nocturnal animals, crocodiles and birds.

Day 11 Sukau/Kota Kinabalu
After breakfast take a short tour to Sukau
Village by boat and proceed 27 km overland to
Gomantong Caves. Trek 20 minutes through the
rainforest to the cave entrance. Your guide will
brief you on the cave faunas including bats,
swiftlets and crabs among others and their
contribution to maintaining a balanced ecology
and significance to the local economy. When in
season, witness the collecting of birds' nests
by the local people using bamboo ladders and
poles.
Continue to Sandakan for lunch before a short
tour of the town including a tea break in one of
the houses on the water village and the
Australian War Memorial before transfer to
airport for flight MH2065 at 5.20pm to Kota
Kinabalu. Arrival transfer to hotel. Overnight
at Hotel Shangri-la. (BL)
Day 12 Sapi
Spend the day of sun, sea and sand on an
offshore coral island. Transfer 20 minutes by
boat from the jetty to Sapi Island for a day of
relaxation and explore jungle trails on your
own. Snorkel in crystal clear water among coral
reefs and rainbow-coloured fishes before
returning at 3pm. Snorkeling gear available for
hire. Overnight at Hotel Shangri-la. (BL)
Day 13 Kota Kinabalu/Brunei
Transfer to airport for departure flight to
Brunei. On arrival, transfer to guest house for
check in. Proceed to a water village tour which
include visit to a private home for tea break
follow by Sunset River Cruise. Overnight at
Hillside Lodge. (B)
Day 14 Brunei
After breakfast city tour of Brunei which
covers the Royal regalia building, open market,
Grand mosque with gold-plated dome and Royal
Palace before departure transfer to airport. (B)
