Tanzania undoubtedly has some of the finest wildlife viewing in Africa. The Simba Safari journeys through four of the countries' most exciting parks, with increased opportunites of spotting the Big-5 and a huge variety of other species. These two safaris (A/B) follow the same routes, but accommodation varies slightly in style, cost and location.

Day 1 Arusha - Tarangire National Park  (approximately 3 hours)
Early afternoon departure from Arusha to Tarangire, with game viewing en route.
Overnight at Tarangire Sopa Lodge on a half board basis.

Day 2  Tarangire National Park - Ngorongoro Crater (approximately 5 hours)
Morning game drive in Tarangire followed by lunch. Depart for Ngorongoro Crater arriving late afternoon.  
Overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge on a full board basis.

Day 3 Ngorongoro Crater                                                                         
After an early breakfast you descend into the Crater in a 4x4 vehicle for a full day of game viewing with a picnic lunch enjoyed on the Crater floor. Late afternoon you leave the Crater and drive back to the lodge for the evening.
Overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge on a full board basis.

Day 4            Ngorongoro Crater - Serengeti National Park (approximately 5 hours)        
Depart after breakfast and drive to the Serengeti stopping off at Olduvai en route. The Gorge is about 50km long and in some places 90m deep. After lunch, the remainder of the day is on a game drive.
Overnight at Serengeti Serena Lodge on a full board basis.

Day 5  Serengeti National Park                                                                         
Morning and afternoon game drives. 
Overnight at Serengeti Serena Lodge on a full board basis.

Day 6  Serengeti - Lake Manyara (approximately 6 hours)
Depart after breakfast for Lake Manyara, arriving in time for lunch. The remainder of the day is on a game drive.
Overnight at Lake Manyara Serena on a half board basis.

Day 7   Lake Manyara - Arusha (approximately 3½ hours)
Depart after breakfast and drive across the Masai Steppe back to Arusha aiming to arrive around midday.

  • Drinks and dining rooms tips, porterage, personal travel and baggage insurance
  • Telephone bill, laundry and any items of a personal nature

Additional remarks

  • We may have to reroute the itinerary or accommodate in similar lodges in case of non-availability.
  • Prices for domestic flights, airport taxes or park fees may be changed without prior notice. This is beyond our control and any increase levied will be passed to you.
  • In order to qualify for the low season rates tour must start and finish within the specified dates. If any brochure safari starts in low season and ends in high season, we have to pro rata the cost accordingly.
