01 Chiang
Mai - Hmong Hilltribe Lodge (L/D)
Leave
Chiang Mai by Landrover to visit an
elephant camp at Pong Yaeng. Watch the
elephants taking timber in the forest.
Their strength and clever teamwork will
amaze you.
Recommended
Optional:
Take a one-hour elephant riding into the
jugle surroundings.
Extra: Baht 600.- per person.
Continue
to visit the Orchid Farm. Lunch at Mae Saa
Valley Resort. Proceed by pick-up truck to
visit the Meo Hilltribe Village at Nong
Hoi Mai and to Ban Meo Mae Ki. The
afternoon is at leisure to discover the
many activities in the hilltribe village.
B.B.Q. Dinner at HMONG HILLTRIBE LODGE
followed by presentation of Meo dances and
overnight.

| Tuesday

02 Hmong
Hilltribe Lodge - Samoeng - Pai (B/L/D)
Breakfast
Drive
via Ban Pok to Samoeng on rarely used dirt
roads through typical Thai countryside.
Short stop to visit Luang Mae Saab Cave.
Continue over several long hills to Ban
Meo Mae Tala. Picnic lunch. Then walk
around the hilltribe village with
opportunity to visit the houses and local
school.Continue to Wat Chan over countless
mountains on dirt roads with sweeping
views of the country- side. Take a short
tour of Wat Chan, visiting the village and
the local temple. Proceed over rolling
terrain to Pai. Check-in at Muang Pai
Resort.
Dinner and accommodation. |
| Wednesday
Day
03 Pai
- White Water Rafting (B/L/D)
Breakfast
Drive
about 1 hour 30 minutes to Nam Khong
River. Briefing about security and
navigation while inflating the rubber
rafts. Then start off the 45 minutes raft
trip. Stop at Nam Lang junction for picnic
lunch. Continue about 2 hours rafting to
Suza Waterfall and onto the jungle camp.
Afternoon at leisure or opportunity to
walk uphill. Jungle dinner and overnight
in sleeping bag and mosquito (double) on a
Bamboo Matress. |
| Thursday
Day
04 White
Water Rafting - Mae Hong Son (B/L/D)
Breakfast
Rafting for 1 hour 30 minutes to the hot
springs. Then have fun through the rapids
(about 15 rapids, from season), the Pai
Gorge and its rapids. Picnic lunch by a
small waterfall. Continue on an hour
rafting to Nam Tok Mae Surin National
Park. Transfer by Landrover to Mae Hong
Son. Check-in at GOLDEN PAI RESORT HOTEL.
(Possibility during high water season to
stop the rafting trip straight to the
hotel).
Dinner and accommodation.
Remark
: During March - June and depening on
the water lever, the raft trip may have to
be replaced by a trekking trip with an
overnight at Soppong Jungle Guest
House.

Day
05 Mae
Hong Son
(B/L/D)
Breakfast
Drive southwards to visit the "Meo
Micro Wave" hilltribe village located
on a steep mountainside next to a relay
station from where the village got its
name.
Depart
to Ban Naisoi to visit the Khaya (Karen)
hilltribe village and picnic lunch.
Continue by Landrover to the Padong
village, home of the Longnecked Padong
tribe (Giraffe Women) wearing numerous
brass rings around their elongated necks,
an extraordinary sight. Return to resort.
Dinner and accommodation at Golfen Pai
Resort. |
| Saturday
Day
06
Mae
Hong Son - Chiang Mai (B/L)
Visit
to the morning market. Drive uphill to
visit Wat Phra Dhat Doi Kong Moo offering
a beautiful view over Mae Hong Son.
Return
to GOLDEN PAI RESORT for breakfast.
Visit
to the Burmese style temples, Wat Jong
Kham and Wat Jong Klang, located next to a
large pond in the southern part of town.
Shan people who make up about 50% of the
population of Mae Hong Son built Wat Jong
Kham nearly 200 years ago. Wat Jong Klang
houses 100-year-old glass paintings and
woodcarvings from Burma, which depict the
various lives of the Buddha.
Lunch at the resort.
Transfer to the airport.
Depart
Mae Hong Son by TG-…….
Arrive Chiang Mai and transfer to your
Chiang Mai hotel.

package tourprices are inclusive of transfers
and tours by Landrover (4WD) with
English-speaking guide, baggage handling,
entrance fees, meals as specified in the program
(fullboard), accommodation in airconditioned
room with bath/shower (non-airconditioned room
with shower at Hmong Hilltribe Lodge, sleeping
bag during rafting), service charges and VAT.
Not
included are other meals than mentioned in the
program, optional tours, expenditures of
personal nature and domestic airticket. Domestic
airticket will be issued by Diethelm Tours Ltd
and charged for separately.
