02 YANGON-BAGAN (B/L/D)
After
breakfast, transfer to airport for domestic
flight to BAGAN. On arrival transfer to hotel and proceed for sightseeing,
starting with busy local market and continuing
with visits to a diverse selection of the most
important pagodas and temples. Included are :
SHWEZIGON PAGODA, built by King Anawrahta in the
early 11th century as a religious shrine, KU
BYANUK GYI, a temple with exquisite murals of
Jataka scenes, KHAY MIN GA TEMPLE, noted for its
spectacular panoramic view of the area’s many
monuments and ANANDA TEMPLE, with four huge
standing Buddha images and numerous seated
figures in niches around the galleried interior.
After lunch, visit of a lacquer craftmen’s
workshop in nearby MYINKABA village. Continue
sightseeing to MANUHA
TEMPLE, built in the mon style in 1059, NANBAYA TEMPLE, a unique sandstone
monument, said to have been the palace of King
Manuha, MYINGABA GU BYAUKGYI TEMPLE, noted for
mural paintings under the protection of UNESCO.
Proceed
to BUPAYA PAGODA or MINGALA ZEDI STUPA to
watch sunset over the Ayeyarwaddy River.

03
BAGAN-MANDALAY (B/L/D)
After
breakfast, transfer to pier for a boat trip to
Pakokku (approximately 3 hours). Set sail for
PAKOKU, observing a rich and varied river life
and magnificent scenery. Dock in PAKOKKU, a port
city set south of the Chindwin confluence. Visit
the important market, local pagodas and weaving
shops by trishaw. Lunch at a local restaurant.
Proceed by road to MANDALAY.

04 MANDALAY (B/L/D)
After
breakfast, drive to Amarapura, 15 km from
Mandalay. Visit MAHAGANDAYON, a famous Buddhist
monastery, where more than a thousand monks live
and study; continue to 200-year-old U BEIN teak
bridge, built in 1782 at the time when Amarapura
was the royal capital. Visit BAGAYA MONASTERY,
with a superb collection of Buddha statues.
Before returning to Mandalay, stop at a
traditional hand-woven silk workshop en route.
After lunch, proceed on a comprehensive
sightseeing tour including MAHAMUNI PAGODA, with
its spectacular Buddha image covered with thick
layers of gold leaves, SHWE INBIN, one of the
most outstanding monasteries in the country,
SHWE NAN DAW KYAUNG or GOLDEN PALACE MONASTERY,
a superb example of a traditional wooden
building, KUTHODAW PAGODA, known as the
world’s largest book consisting of 729 marble
slabs engraved with Buddhist scriptures. A visit
is also made to a jetty to observe daily life at
the river and to a craftsmen’s workshop to see
Kalaga tapestries being created.

MANDALAY-HEHO (B/L/D)
After
breakfast, transfer to airport for domestic
flight to HEHO . Proceed by road to INLE LAKE (25 km - 1 hour). An excursion
by boat on Inle Lake will include sights of the
famous legrowers, typical floating gardens,
local methods of fishing and village life. Lunch
at a local restaurant on the lake. Visits are
made to PHAUNGDAW OO PAGODA, the weaving village
of INPAWKHON and other sights.

sightseeing with opportunity to visit BOGYOKE

CHIANG SAEN-CHIANG KHONG-LUANGSAY CRUISE

After
breakfast, transfer by minibus
to Chiang Khong on the
border, for custom and immigration clearance.
Cross the river by ferry boat to Ban
Houixai in Laos to board the “Luangsay
Cruise”.
Pak-ou
boat leaves Ban Huay Sai pier and cruise down
the Mekong to Pakbeng – En route several stops
are made to observe rural life along the Mekong
and discover minorities – picnic Lunch.
Arrive
Pakbeng before sunset and check in at hotel. Dinner
on the terrace.

lunch and observe traditional process to obtain

Village at the mouth of the Nam ou river, visit
Tam Ting Caves of a 1000 buddhas – arrive
Luang Prabang before sunset.

breakfast, visit the former royal capital's
three most
impressive
temples, VAT XIENG THONG; the most
beautiful temple
representing the classic Luang Prabang temple
architecture, VAT
XIENGMENE; the
Royal Cemetery and VAT LONGKHOUNE; the
Royal
temple where all kings of Lane Xang are
said to have come for a 3-day retreat to prepare
for coronation.
Depart by road to KHOUANGSI WATERFALLS, with
picnic lunch at BAN THAPENE
VILLAGE.
Late afternoon, return to Luang Prabang and
continue to visit BAN
PHANOM, a village specializing in hand
weaving.
