ITINERARY:
DAY 1
Launceston, Woolmers Estate (D)
Take a guided
tour of Launceston, then visit Woolmers Estate
and Cataract Gorge before enjoying pre-dinner
welcome drinks.
Accommodation: Launceston, Commodore Regent.
DAY 2 Grindelwald, Crayfish Dinner (BD)
Visit Grindelwald and continue on to
Seahorse World*, then down the coast to
Scamander. This evening enjoy a crayfish dinner
(seasonal).
Accommodation: Scamander Beach Resort.
*During Lavender season (Dec-Feb) visit
Bridestowe Lavender Farm in Lieu of Seahorse
World.
DAY 3
East Coast Naturworld, Ross, Tasman Peninsula,
Port Arthur (BD)
We visit East Coast Naturworld before
heading to charming Richmond village with its
many buildings dating back to the early 1800s.
See the Richmond Bridge. Tour through Sorell to
the Tasman Peninsula : see Tessellated Pavement,
Devil's Kitchen, Tasman's Arch and Doo Village.
Tonight at Port Arthur, perhaps join the Ghost
Tour (own expense). 7 day passengers join.

DAY 4
Tour Port Arthur Historic Site (BD)
At Port Arthur Historic Site, call into the
Visitor Centre and take the 'Lottery of Life' ,
a unique way to learn about the life and time of
the former convict. Join a cruise around
the'Isle of the Dead', resting place for some
2000 people who died during convict times.
Travel to Tasmanias capital, Hobart, situated on
the banks of the Pictureque Derwent River, then
tour to the top of Mt Nelson for panoramic views
over the city and harbour.
Accommodation: Hobart, Hardleys Hotel (2
nights).
DAY 5
Cadbury's, Salamanca Place (B)
Tour the sights of Hobart including a guided
tour through the renowned Cadbury Chocolate
Factory (seasonal closures occur, please inquire
at time of booking). See Salamanca place and the
Royal Tasmanian Botonical Gardens. The remainder
of the day is free for you to browse around
Hobart.
DAY 6
Mt Field Nat. Park, Lake St Clair (BD)
Follow the beautiful Derwent Valley and
enter Mt Field National Park. Take a short
stroll to Russell Falls. From Derwent Bridge,
enter stunning Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair
National Park and visit Lake St Clair. Travel to
the mining town of Queenstown and on to the port
town of strahan.

DAY 7
Strahan, Gordon River Cruise (BLD)
This morning, board the Lady Jane Franklin
at Strahan Wharf for a cruise along the Gordon
River. Cruise to notorious Sarah Island and
enter the Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National
Park where, at Heritage Landing, you can
discover the magnificent beauty of the region.
Return to the quaint fishing village of Strahan
before visiting the Pioneer Museum at Zeehan.

Day 8
Cradle Mountain, Stanley (BD)
Visit World Heritage Cradle Mountain,
Waldheim Chalet and Dove Lake. Journey to the
former timber milling town of Stanley and see
'The Nut', a striking rocky outcrop soaring 500
feet above the sea.
Accommodation: Devonport, Gateway Inn.
Day 9
Sheffield, Ashgrove, Launceston (B)
Visit Sheffield, the 'Town of Murals',
before continuing to Ashgrove Cheese Factory for
a tour and tasting. Continue to Launceston and
transfer to the airport for flights departing
after 4.30
p.m.
