ITINERARY:

DAY 1 ARRIVE AUCKLAND:
You will be met and transferred to your hotel. Accommodation: Auckland, First Imperial.

DAY 2 AUCKLAND, ROTORUA (BD):
Journey through rich farmlands to rotorua. Visit the Maori Arts and Crafts Institute and Whakarewarewa Thermal Reserve to experience the power of nature. View boiling mud pools, soaring geysers and steaming hot pools.  Accommodation: Rotorua, Quality Hotel.

This evening enjoy a Maori feast and cultural entertainment.

DAY 3 ROTORUA, WELLINGTON (BD):
Travel south to Taupo and visit Huka Falls. Journey through Tongariro National Park, home to three volcanoes, and into the rich farming country of Manawatu before reaching Wellington.  Accommodation: Wellington, Sharella Motor Inn.

DAY 4 WELLINGTON, CHIRSTCHURCH (BD):
Board the Inter-island ferry for a scenic cruise across Cook Strait to the port of Picton. Journey south through the famous wine growing region of Marlborough to reach the rugged Kaikoura Coast. Cross the rich and fertile Canterbury Plains to arrive in Christchurch, the pretty 'Garden City'.  Accommodation: Christchurch, Russley Hotel.

DAY 5 CHRISTCHURCH, DUNEDIN (BD):
Enjoy a Christchurch city tour then travel south to Oamaru famous for its unique buildings built of the local cream colored limestone. Continue to Dunedin, first settled by the Scottish in 1848 and now renowned as the 'Edinburgh of the south'.  Accommodation: Dunedin, Pacific Park.

DAY 6 DUNEDIN, TE ANAU (BD):
Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Dunedin and see the famous town centre, ' The Octagon ' surrounded by historic stone buildings. Travel south through Balclutta and the farming town of Gore. Through South Otago to Te Anau, gateway to World Heritage-Listed Fiordland National Park.  Accommodation: Te Anau, Fiordland Hotel.

DAY 7 MILFORD SOUND, QUEENSTOWN (BD):
Journey through lush native rainforest to Milford Sound and then sail to the mouth of this deep fiord. View spectacular scenery including mile high Mitre Peak, wildlife, and waterfalls cascading from the surrounding cliffs. This afternoon arrive in Queenstown, located on the shores of beautiful lake Wakatipu and renowned as New Zealands ' Adventure Capital '.  Accommodation: Queenstown, Sherwood Manor (2 nights).

DAY 8 QUEENSTOWN AT LEISURE (B):
Queenstown enjoys a reputation as one of the most beautiful mountain resorts in the world. Today is yours to explore the many activities available.

DAY 9 QUEENSTOWN, CHRISTCHURCH (B):
This morning we journey to Arrowtown and Mt Cook National Park. Enjoy magnificent views of Mt Cook (weather permitting ). Continue to Christchurch where your tour concludes on arrival. Free transfer for flights after 8:00 p.m.
