Day 1 Thu: Sydney – Coffs Harbour
Depart Sydney at 7.30am and travel along the scenic coastline of New South Wales. Tonight enjoy a welcome drink and dinner with your Tour Director and fellow traveling companions.

Day 2 Fri: Byron Bay – Gold Coast
Today we make our way to the Cape Byron Lighthouse and stop in exclusive Byron Bay. Follow the lush Tweed River Valley to the famous Gold Coast.

Day 3 Sat: Hervey Bay – Fraser Island
Travel along the Sunshine Coast, stopping at Australia Zoo, a wildlife park and home of the famous 'Crocodile Hunter'. Continue to Hervey Bay for the ferry crossing to remarkable Fraser Island.

Day 4 Sun: Fraser Island 4WD Adventure
Join your 4WD vehicle for your half day tour. Visit Pile Valley and the majestic rainforest at Central Station. Stop and relax for a  while at lovely Lake McKenzie, one of the island's beautiful freshwater lakes. (BD)

Day 5 Mon: Rockhampton
Return to the mainland and cross the Tropic of Capricorn to Rockhampton. 
a  We dine out this evening at the Dreamtime Cultural Centre, where we learn about Aboriginal culture and traditions.

Day 6 Tue: Hamilton Island
Travel north to Mackay, before continuing to Shute Harbour, where you join a catamaran for the short cruise to idyllic Hamilton Island. Tonight delight in a barbecue dinner at the Yacht Club.

Day 7 Wed: Hamilton Island at leisure
Enjoy a day at leisure to explore Hamilton Island. There is the opportunity to join a morning tour of the island including the fauna park or take an afternoon cruise to idyllic Whitehaven Beach. (B)

Day 8 Thu: Townsville
Departing by catamaran we rejoin our coach, heading north to the tropical city of Townsville. This afternoon is free to relax or take a stroll along The Strand. There is the opportunity to visit Billabong Sanctuary, where you can hand feed the kangaroos, view crocodiles at feeding time and pat a koala (own expense).

Day 9 Fri: Townsville – Cairns
Journey north from Townsville, visiting Millaa Millaa Falls and the famous Curtain Fig Tree. Enjoy a guided cruise on the serene crater of Lake Barrine. We depart the high tropical plateau known as the Atherton Tablelands, making our way to Cairns.

Day 10 Sat: Kuranda - Skyrail - Tjapukai
Join the Kuranda Train for a breathtaking journey high into the Tablelands to the pictureque village of Kuranda. Explore the Kuranda Markets and ride through the rainforest in an amphibious Army Duck. Return to the lowlands high above the canopy of the lush rainforest on the Skyrail Cableway.

Day 11 Sun: Cairns - Port Douglas
This morning relax by the pool or explore the tropical city of Cairns. Travel north via beautiful Palm Cove to the resort town of Port Douglas. Enjoy free time this afternoon to stroll along magical Four Mile Beach.

Day 12 Mon: Great Barrier Reef Cruise
Board the famous 'Quicksilver' wave-piercing catamaran. Cruise out to Agincourt Reef, on the very edge of the Great Barrier Reef. Take a fascinating journey and view magnificent coral and sea life through the windows of a special sub–sea vessel. Opportunity to swim and snorkel over the reef, equipment provided.
