Day 1 Mon: Arrive Auckland
On arrival in Auckland you will be
transferred to your hotel (flights to arrive prior to 4.00pm).
The remainder of the day is at leisure to explore Auckland.
Tonight enjoy a welcome drink with your Tour Director.

Day 2 Sat: Auckland -Bay of
Islands
Cross the Auckland Harbour Bridge
and travel north via the Hibiscus Coast to the
beautiful Bay of Islands.
Enjoy 'Walking with the Descendants', a guided tour of the Waitangi
Treaty Reserve. Later, arrive at the award winning Copthorne
Hotel Resort Waitangi, situated on the waterfront.

Day 3 Sun: Bay of Islands
Today enjoy the many different
optional activities which the Bay of Islands has to offer. Maybe
take a coach trip to Cape Reinga, via Ninety Mile Beach, try
your hand at Day Sailing or even a guided sea kayaking trip.

Day 4 Mon: Bay of Islands -
Auckland
This morning join a cruise through
game fishing waters to Cape Brett. Weather permitting,
travel through the famous 'Hole in the Rock'. This
afternoon journey through lush farm lands and return once again
to the 'City of Sails'.

Day 5 Tue: Waitomo Caves
Today journey south through the
Waikato district to Waitomo. At the Waitomo Caves
experience a guided tour and boat trip of the incredible Glow-worm
Grotto. This afternoon continue south to Rotorua.
Enjoy a guided tour accompanied by a local Maori guide and share
the beauty and history of the Whakarewarewa Thermal Reserve.
See craftsmen at work, see boiling mud pools and geysers
of all sizes!
A
unique and special cultural evening starts with powhiri and wero.
Enjoy a night of truly authentic traditional culture,
entertainment and share in a Hangi - food cooked in the
traditional Maori way.

Day 6 Wed: Rotorua
This morning ride the Skyline
Gondola and enjoy breakfast with sparkling wine overlooking
Rotorua. At Rainbow Springs view the rare, flightless
bird, the Kiwi. Later, see the Rainbow Farm Show for an
entertaining look at farm life. Free time this afternoon for an
optional scenic flight over 'geyserland' or to go trout fishing.

Day 7 Thu: Wellington
Travel through extensive pine forest
to Taupo, in the very heart of the North Island. Stop and
view the mighty Huka Falls. Follow the eastern shoreline
of Lake Taupo, with a backdrop of snow-capped volcanoes
that form the vast volcanic plateau of Tongariro National
Park. On through the rich dairy farming lands to the coast
for a picturesque drive into Wellington.

Day 8 Fri: Depart Wellington
Enjoy a sightseeing tour of
Wellington including the old Parliment Buildings, the Beehive
and Mt. Victoria Lookout.
Free
time to explore Te Papa, New Zealand's National Museum.
Experience first hand the warmth and vibrancy of Maori culture
including the magnificent contempory Marae (meeting house). You
will be transferred to Wellington Airport to connect with your
onward flight (flights to depart after 2.00pm). (B)
