Day 1 Mon: Arrive
Christchurch
On arrival in
Christchurch you will be transferred to your hotel
(flights to arrive prior to 4.00pm).The remainder of
the day is at leisure for you to explore. Tonight
enjoy a welcome drink with your Tour
Director.

Day 2 Tue:
TranzAlpine -Franz Josef
Board the TranzAlpine
train and travel over the Southern Alps.
Continue north to Punakaiki and view the Pancake
Rocks and blowholes, then head south
along the coastal road to Franz Josef Glacier.
Enjoy the expert commentary provided by a local
glacier guide. You may also have the opportunity
to enjoy an optional scenic flight (weather
permitting).

Day 3 Wed: Queenstown
Travel south along the
coastal road and over the Haast Pass. Follow
the shores
of Lake Wanaka
and journey through the Kawarau Gorge. Enjoy
a visit to Arrowtown, a colourful township
steeped in local history, before continuing to Queenstown.
This evening is at leisure in Queenstown for you to
explore and dine independently at a local
restaurant.

Day 4 Thu: Queenstown
Today enjoy the many
scenic delights of Queenstown. Your Tour Director
will happily advise on the optional activities
available. Tonight join the steamship T.S.S.
Earnslaw and journey across Lake Wakatipu
to Walter Peak, a high country sheep station.
Relax in the Colonel's Homestead, enjoying Kiwi
hospitality and a carvery dinner. (B)

Day 5 Fri: Milford
Sound
Travel south to
Fiordland through the Homer Tunnel and stop
briefly at the Chasm, before arriving at Milford
Sound for a cruise on the waters of this natural
wonder. This afternoon continue to Te Anau,
situated on the shores of beautiful Lake Te Anau.

Day 6 Sat: Te Anau
– Dunedin
Cross the rich fertile
country of South Otago to Dunedin, founded by
Scottish settlers. Time at leisure this afternoon to
explore. You might like to visit Cadbury World.

Day 7 Sun: Dunedin
Enjoy breakfast and a
guided tour at Larnach Castle, New Zealand's
only authentic castle, followed by a sightseeing
tour of Dunedin. Travel through Oamaru,
which is famous for its white buildings made of
limestone, then continue to Twizel.

Day 8 Mon: Mt. Cook
– Christchurch
Travel past Mt. Cook
National Park. You may wish to take an optional
scenic flight (weather permitting). Visit LakeTekapo
and view the Church of the Good Shepherd.
Continue over the colourful, patchwork plains of
Canterbury to the beautiful garden city of Christchurch.

Day 9 Tue: Blenheim
Travel along the rugged
coast and stop to view New Zealand fur seals.
At Kaikoura, you have the opportunity to
enjoy an optional whale watching flight.
Continue to Blenheim, nestled in the heart of
the Marlborough wine region. This evening enjoy tastings
of local wine and a delicious dinner at
the Montana Winery.

Day 10 Wed:
Wellington
Join the inter-island
cruise through Queen Charlotte Sound and
across Cook Strait to Wellington. Enjoy a tour
of Wellington on arrival including views from Mt.
Victoria.
Free
time to explore Te Papa, New Zealand's National
Museum. Experience first hand the warmth and
vibrancy of Maori culture including the magnificent
contempory Marae (meeting house). Explore the many
interactive displays depicting modern New Zealand
and pre European history.

Day 11 Thu: Rotorua
Continue through the
dairy farming lands via Huka Falls and Taupo,
then on to Rotorua.
Visit
the Whakarewarewa Thermal Reserve where a
local Maori Guide will take you on a guided tour.
Wander amidst pools of boiling mud and geysers
of all sizes!
Tonight
enjoy an entertaining Maori concert and
special Hangi Feast including entertainment.

Day 12 Fri: Rotorua
sightseeing
This morning ride the Skyline
Gondola and enjoy breakfast with sparkling
wine overlooking Rotorua. At Rainbow Springs
view the rare, flightless bird, the Kiwi. Later,
visit the Rainbow Farm Show for an
entertaining look at farm life. Some free time this
afternoon for an optional touring. (B)
Day 13 Sat: Auckland
This morning travel to
the famous Waitomo Caves, where you will
experience a guided tour and boat trip of the
incredible Glow-worm Grotto. Journey north to
Auckland. This evening enjoy an optional
farewell dinner arranged by your Tour Director.

Day 14 Sun: Depart
Auckland
You will be transferred
to Auckland Airport to connect with your onward
