1: Adelaide - Alice Springs
You will be met on arrival at Adelaide Airport
(flights to arrive prior to 4.00pm) and
transferred to Keswick Railway Station to join
the Ghan. This afternoon begin the 1,559 km
journey in first class comfort to Alice Springs.

2: Alice Springs
Enjoy a continental breakfast before arriving
mid morning . You will be met at the station and
transferred to your hotel. This afternoon tour
the points of interest around Alice Springs
including the Telegraph Station, Alice Springs
Reptile Centre, Royal Flying Doctor Service,
School of the Air and views of Alice Springs
from Anzac Hill. (CB)

Day
3: Desert Discovery Tour
a
This morning spend time with a local Aboriginal
guide as we travel to a site of significance to
the Arrente people, on a Desert Discovery Tour.
Enjoy demonstrations of boomerang and spear
throwing, and learn about traditional sources
for food and medicine. There will be an
opportunity to sample bush foods. Following a
morning tea of damper and billy tea, learn about
tribal life, languages, art, music and enjoy a
dance
performance.
Day
4: Alice Springs at leisure
Enjoy a full day at leisure in this unique
outback town. There are a number of optional tours
available today including a 4WD Safari into Palm
Valley, an oasis in the desert.

5: West MacDonnell Ranges - Alice Springs Desert
Park
Travel
through the West MacDonnell Ranges, renowned
throughout the world for its spectacular
scenery. We stop at Simpsons Gap and also
explore Standley Chasm, a narrow crevice in the
ranges. This afternoon visit the informative
Alice Springs Desert Park. See the handlers
demonstrating the hunting skills of Australia's
' Birds of Prey ' and see many other unique
animals. (L)

6: Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) – Uluru (Ayers Rock)
An early start for Ayers Rock Resort. Stop at
a camel farm for a morning tea and later stop to
view Mt. Conner, before arriving at Ayers Rock
Resort. This afternoon visit Kata Tjuta, before
watching the spectacle of the sun setting on
Uluru and enjoy a complimentary glass of wine.

Desert Gardens Hotel, Ayers Rock Resort.
Day
7: Uluru (Ayers Rock) Kings Canyon
Rise early to view sunrise over Uluru. You may wish to
make the climb to the top of this monolith.
Later tour around its base. There is time to
take an optional scenic flight and visit the
Uluru - Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. Depart Ayers
Rock Resort for Kings Canyon Resort.
Overnight:
Kings Canyon Resort - Rangeview Rooms.
Day
8: Kings Canyon - Alice Springs
This
morning join the rocky climb to the rim of Kings
Canyon and enjoy the marvellous views of
Watarrka National Park. Alternatively, you may
wish to explore the boulder-strewn Canyon floor.
This afternoon make the return journey to Alice
Springs.
Overnight:
Alice Springs Resort.

9: Depart Alice Springs
You will be transferred to Alice Springs
Airport to connect with your onward flight
