Day 1 Fri:
Arrive Auckland
On arrival in
Auckland you will be transferred to your hotel
(flights to arrive prior to 4.00pm). The
remainder of the day is at leisure to explore Auckland.
Perhaps visit the Sky Tower for spectacular
views of the city. The area is almost totally
surrounded by water and is covered in volcanic
hills, making the landscape quite inspiring.
Tonight enjoy a welcome drink with your
Tour Director and fellow travelling
companions.

Day 2 Sat:
Auckland –Bay of Islands
Cross the Auckland
Harbour Bridge and travel north via the Hibiscus
Coast to the beautiful Bay of Islands.
Enjoy 'Walking with the Descendants', a
guided tour of the Waitangi Treaty Reserve.
The Waitangi Treaty Reserve is one of great
historical importance, as this is where New
Zealand's founding document, the Treaty of
Waitangi, was signed between Maori and Pakeha
(Europeans). Enjoy a tour personally guided by
a descendant of the Chiefs who signed the
Treaty in 1840. Highlights include the
magnificent Maori War Canoe and meeting
house. Later, arrive at the award
winning Copthorne Hotel & Resort Waitangi,
situated on the waterfront.

Day 3 Sun: Bay
of Islands
Today enjoy the
many different optional activities which the
Bay of Islands has to offer. Maybe take a
coach trip to Cape Reinga, via Ninety Mile
Beach, try your hand at Day Sailing or even a
guided sea kayaking trip. Tonight is free for
independent dining at one of the many local
restaurants. (B)
Day 4 Mon: Bay
of Islands – Auckland
This morning join
a cruise through game fishing waters to Cape
Brett. Weather permitting, travel through
the famous 'Hole in the Rock'. On
return to Paihia the cruise meanders through
the islands, where you will see deserted sandy
beaches, beautiful bays and marine
life. This afternoon journey through lush
farmlands and return to Auckland. You will
be transferred to Auckland Airport to connect
with your onward flight (flights to depart
after 7.30pm). (B)
