To enchance the vital
relationship between airlines and travel agents, IATA works with
and consults both groups to develop industry standards and
practices for the sale of international transportation by IATA
accredited agents.
The relationship and working
practices among IATA, the airlines and travel agents are
established and monitored through the IATA
Agency Programme. This includes IATA
agency accreditation criteria and procedures, the reporting
and remittance of ticket sales and joint industry consultation
